Storyline:
Shruti Tandon was all of 14 when her body was found in her room on the bed with her throat slit. Her parents Ramesh and Nutan Tandon discover her in a pool of blood and the cops are called. The cop presiding over the case, frivolously conduct the survey of the crime scene despite getting many real and glaring evidences. Despite knowing the fact that Tandons’ house help for two years Khemraj is missing, they dismiss obvious blood trails to the terrace. They are quick to put the blame on the servant and call it an open and shut case when the next day. Khemraj’s body is discovered from the terrace. Meanwhile, media had turned the whole case into a high-profile one and so, the cops were in a hurry to close this case. Based on circumstantial evidence, they arrest Ramesh for the crime. But it doesn’t take time for the government to figure out that the investigation wasn’t done properly and so the task is entrusted on CBI’s Ashwin Kumar (Irrfan Khan) to clear the mess. He does his best to gather as many proofs as possible to solve the mystery and even manages to do so but his senior gets retired and with him everything goes downhill. Storyline:
The movie basically tells two separate stories of Devi Pathak (Richa Chadda) and Deepak Chaudhary (Vicky Kaushal). Devi, who herself is a student falls for a guy of her class. Everything goes well until she is caught red handed with a fellow student in a shady hotel by inspector Mishra (Bhagwan Tiwari) and her life changes after that. Mishra now starts to blackmail Devi and her father (Sanjay Mishra).On the other hand, Deepak, who earns his living by working on the ghats of Ganga falls in love with Shaalu (Shweta Tripathi) belonging to the upper class. Their love is against the norms of the society. How Devi and Deepak get out of their respective miseries without trouble forms the rest of the story.

Storyline:
Welcome Back takes off from where its prequel ended. Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) and Majnu Bhai (Anil Kapoor) are back but this time not as goons but ex-goons who run a business in Dubai.In the midst of all this, Uday learns that his father has a daughter(Shruthi Haasan) from his third marriage and now that it is their responsibility to find her a suitable groom. Uday and Majnu start searching a suitable bride for their sister Ranjana, but she falls in love with a gangster Ajju Bhai (John Abraham).Twist in the tale arises when Uday and Majnu realize that Ajju Bhai is the son of the most wanted Bhai and also a drug addict. What does Uday and Majnu bhai do now ? Will they allow Ranjana and Ajju Bhai marry each other? That forms the rest of the story.
